The Tecnica Zero G Decoy 130 GW is built for skiers who refuse to compromise on the descent but still want short climbs and bootpacks. These ski boots combine a 99 mm MV last, flex 130, 1,680 g weight, 65° range of motion and Vibram GripWalk with low-tech inserts. This is not a classic touring boot; it is a downhill-focused freeride boot with genuine touring capability.

We recommend the Decoy 130 to skiers who put freeride clearly ahead of touring. If around 80% of your priority is downhill performance but you still want short climbs, bootpacks and pin compatibility, the concept makes a lot of sense.
For long, high-vertical touring days, 1,680 g is more than we would choose. For lift-access freeride, skins, short approaches and demanding descents, that weight is well spent because the boot offers much more substance.
Comparison
The Decoy 130 is heavier but clearly more downhill-focused. The Zero G Tour Pro is around 1,285 g and much more touring-oriented. Choose Tour Pro for big vertical days; choose Decoy 130 when wide skis, pressure and downhill stability matter more.
Bootfitting & Compatibility
Heel hold is especially important in freeride boots. The boot must not create unnecessary pressure while climbing, but the foot cannot move around on the descent either. The C.A.S. shell and liner can be tuned to balance both needs.
