Race experience
Experience from ski racing, federation work, athlete support and international service environments.
SF Sports · Our Team
At SF Sports, you do not get anonymous standard advice. You get experience from ski racing, workshop service, bootfitting and equipment development — directly from people who know what matters on snow.
Personal advice instead of standard answers
Whether ski service, race service, bootfitting or performance-oriented ski equipment: the product alone is not what matters. The setup has to be right. That is exactly what Franz Simmerl stands for with his experience from ski racing, workshop practice and equipment development.
Experience from ski racing, federation work, athlete support and international service environments.
Ski service, race service, edges, structure, base preparation and finish are carried out in our own workshop.
Ski boot, foot, stance and power transfer are treated as part of one complete setup.
Good advice also means saying clearly when a purchase or service is not necessary right now.
Founder · race service · bootfitting · workshop
Franz Simmerl is the founder of SF Sports and has shaped the shop’s direction since 2005: honest advice, professional workshop work, race service, bootfitting and performance ski equipment from one specialist source.
As a former ski racer, Franz knows from personal experience how strongly equipment, ski boot, binding, edge, structure and service influence the way a ski feels. This understanding flows into every consultation, every service and every equipment setup.
His standard is clear: not simply to sell, but to identify which setup truly fits the skier — from junior racers to ambitious recreational skiers.

Participation in the 2010 Paralympics in Vancouver and the 2014 Paralympics in Sochi — with direct responsibility for service, setup and equipment.
