Tecnica · Mach1 LV LTD · Flex 130 · High Performance
The Tecnica Mach1 LV LTD TD2 GW is built for very experienced skiers who want a close low-volume fit, strong support and maximum customisation. With a 98 mm last, flex 130, T-Drive 2.0, C.A.S. shell, Full C.A.S. liner and C.A.S. Floating Tongue, the LTD combines race-oriented precision with far more everyday usability than a true plug race boot.
Technical Setup
Performance on Snow
The foot sits closer to the shell, reducing unwanted movement and making edge inputs more direct at speed.
The shell-to-cuff connection reduces unwanted deformation and supports more consistent flex across temperature changes.
The co-injected cuff is light, stiff and highly responsive, improving power transfer and progressive support.
The anatomical liner can be heat moulded, punched, ground or made tighter with Fit Kit elements.
A genuine LTD advantage: the tongue can be heat shaped to the shin to reduce pressure peaks while preserving contact and control.
The softer instep zone and standing buckles make entry and exit noticeably easier despite the close LV shell.
SF Sports Buying Advice
We recommend the LTD to skiers who want a precise 98 mm boot and are prepared to tune the fit properly. Flex 130 is intended for powerful, technically strong skiers who can actually load the cuff.
It is particularly useful for ambitious piste skiers, coaches, Masters and race-oriented skiers who want more customisation than a standard performance boot but do not want the compromises of a Firebird or 93 mm World Cup plug.
Comparison
The core specifications are almost identical: 98 mm, flex 130, 1,890 g, GripWalk and the same Grilamid®/Carbon cuff. The LTD mainly earns its place through the complete C.A.S. package including the C.A.S. Floating Tongue. If you use that extra customisation, it adds real value. If the standard LV 130 already fits exceptionally well and needs little fitting work, the LTD is not automatically necessary.
Bootfitting
The C.A.S. shell is anatomically shaped and designed for targeted heating and punching. The Full C.A.S. liner can be heat moulded at 80 °C for 8 minutes, punched locally or ground by up to about 2 mm. Fit Kit elements can also reduce volume in selected areas. That is the point of the LTD: precise tuning rather than simply sizing up.
FAQ
Very experienced, sporty skiers with narrow feet or those seeking a precise low-volume fit who can actively use a stiff 130 flex.
The main specifications are the same, but the LTD uses a more comprehensive C.A.S. package including the C.A.S. Floating Tongue for more detailed fit customisation.
Yes, especially for race-oriented training, Masters, coaches and very sporty piste skiing. It remains more versatile than a true plug race boot.
It can be heat shaped to the shin to reduce pressure points while improving contact and power transfer.
Do not buy by street-shoe size. Mondopoint, shell check, foot width, heel and instep must be assessed together.
No. It is only a starting value. Foot shape, ankles, instep and volume distribution matter as well.
More precise support, stable flex 130, a high-end Grilamid®/Carbon cuff, extensive C.A.S. customisation and a more race-oriented feel.
SF Sports
We assess technique, speed, pressure build-up and intended use rather than just flex numbers.
The LTD delivers its real advantage when the C.A.S. shell, liner and tongue are used properly.
With 98 mm low volume, a proper shell check matters more than street-shoe size.
If the Mach1 LV 130, MV or Firebird fits better, that is the correct recommendation.
We understand the difference between everyday performance, race-oriented setups and true race boots.
High-performance boots can be fine-tuned after the first days on snow.
