Leki WCR Pro Lite SL TR
The LEKI WCR Pro Lite SL TR is a slalom pole for young racers, with a 16 mm aluminium shaft and Trigger 3D SL grip. The lighter shaft diameter and Airfoil profile make it interesting for young skiers seeking a fixed-length pole specifically tailored to slalom.

LEKI WCR Pro Lite SL TR: precise pole handling between the gates
The LEKI WCR Pro Lite SL TR targets young racers for whom pole length, grip feel and manageable mass matter more than the most substantial version on the rack. Its 16 mm aluminium shaft distinguishes it from the 18 mm Pro SL. Check suitability with ski boots, gloves and the technique actually used in training.
Technical specifications at a glance
16 mm shaft for young slalom skiers
The slimmer aluminium shaft sets the Lite apart from the more substantial 18 mm Pro SL. Choose according to build and training demands. “Lite” does not mean the pole can withstand every load; inspect shaft and grip especially after hard gate impacts.
Trigger 3D SL: grip and strap working together
The finger grooves help position the hand. The click-in strap is adjustable and can be released, for example during breaks. Adjustment with your glove on remains essential: a strap that is too loose or a grip that is too large can undermine the benefit of the direct connection.
Straight geometry and Airfoil profile
The pole is straight and therefore designed for slalom movements. The teardrop-shaped Airfoil profile is aerodynamically shaped. A curved GS pole meets a different discipline’s demands, so choose according to your training rather than appearance.
Who is LEKI WCR Pro Lite SL TR right for?
Our recommendation: the Pro Lite SL TR suits young slalom skiers looking for a straight aluminium pole with an alpine Trigger system. Length should match their current movements. Reassess as they grow rather than buying several centimetres too long from the outset. Always test the grip with the training glove.
Use & selection: length, glove and impact guard
Length: This shop product lists 105, 110, 115, 120 and 125 cm. Use your current length as a starting point and check your position in ski boots; for slalom, technique and your coach’s guidance also matter. Availability and selection appear above.
Glove: LEKI confirms compatibility within its alpine Trigger straps and gloves. This does not establish compatibility with other systems. A suitable Trigger glove and the adjustable strap provide different ways of connecting your hand.
Impact guard: A hand guard must fit the grip and mounting point. Have the exact version checked; an existing guard is not compatible simply because it carries the same brand. After hard impacts, inspect the shaft, grip and mounting. Do not simply force a bent or damaged pole back into shape.

Questions before you buy
Which discipline is this pole designed for?
For slalom and corresponding race training. Its straight shaft and SL grip distinguish it from a GS pole designed around the downhill tuck.
How does the Lite differ from the Pro SL?
The Lite uses a 16 mm aluminium shaft; the Pro SL uses an 18 mm shaft. The Lite is aimed at young slalom racers.
Should I buy a longer size to grow into?
Not at the expense of technique. Excess length can disturb arm position and pole use. Check the appropriate length with the coach and reassess as the skier grows.
Do I need special gloves?
Not necessarily: the adjustable Trigger Strap connects your hand through the strap. Compatible alpine Trigger gloves can click in directly. Check the actual fit with your own gloves.
Will every LEKI hand guard fit?
Do not assume this. The grip, adapter and approved mounting arrangement for the particular guard are what matter. Tell us its exact model if you want to keep using existing accessories.
Is this the lightest pole for racers?
It is designed for slalom with an aluminium shaft. If weight is your priority, compare alternative constructions at the same length; a gram figure means little without a common basis for comparison.
Can the length be adjusted on the go?
No. This is a one-piece, fixed-length pole. Choose the correct length before purchase; modifications belong only in a service procedure specified by the manufacturer.
