LEKI WCR Pro GS TR: for a clean giant-slalom position
The LEKI WCR Pro GS TR suits racers who want to keep their poles close to the body in a tuck. The GS bend serves a different purpose from a straight slalom pole: what matters is how the pole sits in your race position and whether length, grip and glove work together.
Technical specifications at a glance
GS bend: compact in a tuck
The curved shape is intended to support pole positioning in the typical race stance. How well it works also depends on arm length and posture. A pole that seems right standing upright may sit awkwardly in a tuck. Take time to try it with gloves on.
Pro G grip and Trigger: controlled handling
The slim Pro G grip is designed for a direct connection to your hand. With a suitable strap or compatible alpine Trigger glove, you can click in and out. Adjust the strap so you can control the grip loosely rather than compensating for poor support by constantly gripping hard.
Airfoil and Downhill basket as race features
The profiled aluminium shaft and compact basket are tailored to racing. This is not a large powder basket. For regular off-piste skiing or touring, compare the categories designed for those uses.
Who is LEKI WCR Pro GS TR right for?
Our recommendation: choose the GS TR for focused giant-slalom training if you want a curved aluminium construction with Trigger. Check length with your coach and in your race position. For slalom, a straight SL pole is the more natural choice; the same centimetre measurement does not make the two shapes interchangeable.
Use & selection: length, glove and impact guard
Length and stance: The shop selection includes 120, 125, 130 and 135 cm. Compare with your current race pole and test your tuck. Height, current length and training focus help us advise you.
Hand connection: Adjust the strap with the glove you actually use. Alpine Trigger compatibility does not mean other click-in systems fit. Practise clicking in and out before training.
Checks: After contact with gates or a fall, inspect the shaft, grip and strap attachment. Distinguish new deformation from the intended GS bend. Damaged poles need inspection; do not bend them back yourself.

Questions before you buy
How does it differ from the SL TR?
The GS TR has a GS bend, Pro G grip and Downhill basket. The SL TR is straight and designed for slalom movements.
Is the pole made of carbon?
No. This version has an HTS 6.5 aluminium shaft with an 18 mm diameter.
How do I choose the length?
Compare your current GS length and test your race position. Height alone is not a complete basis.
Which gloves fit the Trigger system?
Suitable alpine LEKI Trigger gloves can click in directly. Alternatively, use the adjustable strap.
Can I use it for slalom?
The construction is designed for GS. For dedicated slalom training, we recommend a suitable straight SL pole.
Is the length adjustable?
No, the GS TR is a one-piece, fixed-length pole.
What should I do after a fall?
Check the pole for cracks, new deformation and loose parts. Have damage professionally assessed before using it again.
