HEAD Raptor 70 White
The HEAD Raptor 70 brings the Raptor family’s sporty focus to a junior last. The highest stiffness number is not the deciding factor: a young skier must be able to move the cuff with control while the heel and midfoot are held securely. The listed sizes 20.5 and 21.5 therefore require careful sizing and binding checks.
Technical specifications at a glance
Precision starts at the heel and midfoot
A good race boot holds the foot without needing every buckle tightened with maximum force. If the heel lifts noticeably or the foot slides sideways, reassess the size. Pulling the buckles tighter cannot turn an oversized boot into a precise one.
Choose flex according to strength and technique
70/60 describes this model’s tuning, but is not a standardised stiffness measurement across brands. Body weight, ability and mobility all matter. If a young skier can only overcome the tongue using their entire body weight, a softer model is often a better foundation for training.
Small sizes: check boot sole and binding together
Do not assume the adult sole standard, particularly in junior sizes. For the Raptor 70, HEAD specifies the adult standard only from size 22.0. With the 20.5 and 21.5 offered here, the exact sole marking must match the binding. Mondopoint size alone does not tell you enough.
Who is HEAD Raptor 70 White right for?
Our recommendation: for sporty juniors who already ski with controlled edge engagement and want a closer-fitting boot. For children, fit now matters more than generous growing room. Measure both feet and test the boot with a thin ski sock and the intended insole.
Use & selection
Fitting: Seat the heel properly, close the buckles moderately and flex forward several times. Toes may touch lightly when standing upright but should not be squeezed in skiing position. Have the fit assessed professionally.
Adjustment: Consider pressure points, insole and cuff support together. Changes to flex or sole belong in experienced hands.
After skiing: Open the boots and dry them gently. Keep soles clean and check wear; changing boots also requires a fresh binding check.

Questions before you buy
Who is the Raptor 70 suitable for?
Sporty juniors with a suitable foot shape and enough strength to move the cuff actively.
Do 205 and 215 mean sizes 20.5 and 21.5?
Yes, those shop values represent the corresponding Mondopoint sizes here.
Is 70 always stiffer than another boot marked 60?
Flex numbers are not fully comparable across manufacturers. Actual mobility during the fitting is what matters.
Can I buy it larger to grow into?
Not with noticeably excessive volume. A sliding foot makes control harder and cannot sensibly be compensated for by tightening the buckles more.
Does it fit every adult binding?
No. These small sizes in particular require the sole marking to be checked against the binding’s approval.
Is GripWalk included?
A GripWalk sole is not claimed for this version. The exact sole marking is decisive.
Can SF Sports check the fit?
Yes. Bring your ski socks, insoles and, if possible, your current setup to the fitting.
