Professional diamond file for medium diamond step before fine finishing. Its job is to smooth, polish and harden the steel edge without unnecessarily changing the intended edge angle.

Application & selection
Keep the guide flat and pressure light
Use the diamond file with a stable angle guide whenever possible. Work with controlled strokes, clean the abrasive surface regularly and move to a finer grade only after the previous marks are removed.
SF Sports recommendation
Build a three-step diamond sequence
Coarse is for the first refinement after filing, Medium for controlled polishing, Fine for the final race finish. You do not need every grade for every service, but the sequence should always get progressively finer.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What is the Diamond File World Cup Medium used for?
For medium diamond step before fine finishing and to smooth, polish and harden the steel edge after the primary filing step.
Should a diamond file replace the normal file?
No. The file establishes geometry and removes more material; the diamond refines and polishes the already shaped edge.
Which grade should I start with?
Start only as coarse as necessary. After fresh filing or visible burrs use Coarse; for regular refinement Medium or Fine may be sufficient.
What grit are Medium and Fine?
Medium is 600 grit and Fine is 1000 grit in the HOLMENKOL World Cup range.
How much pressure should I use?
Light, controlled pressure. Let the diamond surface cut; heavy pressure can produce an inconsistent finish.
Should I use a file guide?
Yes, especially for race service. A stable guide helps preserve the intended edge angle throughout the polishing sequence.
What follows the Fine diamond step?
Depending on the setup, only final deburring or a hard finishing stone such as Arkansas may follow.
